This is the news that has been circulating for a few weeks within the women's cycling world. As already anticipated by Daniel Benson, the team most likely to be sponsored is FDJ United - Suez, the top team in the UCI rankings last season and the current squad of Demi Vollering.
Daniel Benson's report was also shared by "Cyclingnews," which notes that Erwin Janssen, CEO of SD Worx and its namesake team, had also been in contact with the famous Austrian energy drink company, given the presence of Red Bull-sponsored athlete Kata Vas, but the talks ultimately led to nothing.
It seems like a done deal for Red Bull's arrival in women's cycling, alongside one of the sport's global figureheads, Demi Vollering. Vollering has already "brought" the brands Specialized (which also supplies bikes to Red Bull - Bora) and Nike with her to FDJ. Although Vollering is currently in the final year of her contract, this new sponsor is expected to facilitate her renewal.
Among the athletes currently sponsored by Red Bull, we find, in addition to Kata Vas, Zoe Bäckstedt, while Chloe Dygert has also been part of their roster in the past.
