The dynamics of the race are peculiar because the peloton thins out after every cobblestone sector and côte, yet no breakaway attempt manages to stick. The riders of the Slovenian national team are highly active, trying to attack while also shutting down every counter-move. Similarly, Great Britain's Aisling Charlesworth, already the winner of Gent-Wevelgem, repeatedly tries to go on the attack, but the bunch refuses to give her any leeway.
Consequently, a large group of about 20 riders approaches the finish line at the head of the race! Everything comes down to a bunch sprint, which is launched from as far out as 400 meters from the line. However, it is Aisling Charlesworth who emerges to take another victory following her win two weeks ago! The Swedish champion Lilly Temar finishes second, while Lotta Huybrechts completes the podium, crossing the line ahead of Temar’s teammate, Lilliana O'Donnell.
