Final showdown of La Vuelta 2026 with the brutal summit finish atop the Alto de l'Angliru (12.5km at 10.1%). With 6.5km to go, Gaia Realini accelerated and exploded the race. Stiasny moved to the front. With 4.3km to go, Bunel launched a fierce attack. Blasi clawed her way back while van der Breggen suddenly cracked. Blasi counterattacked and dropped Bunel, who was then reeled in by an incredible Stiasny.
The Swiss pure climber bridged across to Blasi with 2km to go before dropping her on a brutal 25% hairpin. In a completely unexpected outcome, Lena Stiasny conquered the stage. 22 seconds behind, Paula Blasi crossed the line in second place — but for the young Spaniard, it was still a historic day. La Vuelta Femenina belongs to Blasi.
