🇨🇵 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2026 | 💨 Stage 2: Aigle - Genève (149 km)

The TDFF continues with another stage held entirely on Swiss soil. A simpler route compared to yesterday, featuring a flat finish despite 5 categorized climbs along the way. The peloton stayed compact for the first 55 km, with Cédrine Kerbaol and Marion Bunel taking the first two QOM points. With 95 km to go, a 5-rider breakaway was launched, featuring Eline Jansen, Anouska Koster, Ema Comte, Yuliia Biriukova, and Carlotta Cipressi.

Koster and Comte split the points over the next three QOMs, allowing Mahé to hold on to her polka-dot jersey. At 46 km from the finish, the breakaway was caught by a dangerous chasing group including Gery, Van Dam, and Spratt. These moves prompted SD Worx to pull them back. Meanwhile, the rolling terrain put the pure sprinters in trouble, with Kool and Consonni dropped from the peloton.

Once the attackers were reabsorbed, Riejanne Markus launched a solo move. The Lidl-Trek rider quickly built a gap of over a minute, forcing Team SD Worx into a massive chase effort. With 2 km remaining, Markus still held a 15-second lead and Wiebes was left isolated. Canyon and Liv-AlUla-Jayco came to SD Worx's rescue, finally sweeping up Markus just 400m from the line after a heroic 40 km solo break.

The yellow jersey launched a long sprint from 300m out, but as usual, there was simply no contest! Lorena Wiebes won by a country mile over Elisa Balsamo and Marianne Vos. For the 27-year-old from Mijdrecht, this marks her 5th consecutive victory and her 15th win of the season. With this success, Wiebes also reaches a tally of 7 stage wins at the Tour de France Femmes!
