🇫🇷 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift
🏔 Stage 7: La Voulte-sur-Rhône - Mont Ventoux (146.8 km)

With 75km remaining, the day's breakaway takes shape, defining today's stage right up to the foot of this edition's iconic, queen climb: Mont Ventoux! A 10-rider group establishes itself at the front, while further back, a chasing trio forms including Marianne Vos. R. Roseman-Gannon is the last remaining rider from the breakaway to be caught with 18km remaining.
In the peloton, Movistar and FDJ trade turns setting the tempo, while kilometer after kilometer, the lead group thins out dramatically! Once Movistar and FDJ step off the front, Noemi Rüegg puts in a massive shift for Kerbaol; the moment her turn ends, Demi Vollering launches an immediate attack, leaving just three riders at the head of the race: Vollering, Niewiadoma, and Reusser.
Vollering attacks again to try to distance Reusser, but it is Niewiadoma who makes the decisive move, launching a legendary solo effort with 9.7km to go! Kilometer after kilometer, Niewiadoma's lead continues to grow while Vollering appears to be struggling.
Kasia Niewiadoma Phinney writes her name into cycling folklore by conquering Mont Ventoux, taking her very first Tour de France stage victory, adding to the overall Tour title already in her palm! Reusser cracks on the final kilometer, allowing Vollering to finish second at 1'17", while Longo Borghini claims third after a heroic effort, catching and passing Reusser, who crosses the line in fourth.
