Today's women's schedule features only the junior category race, setting the stage for a showdown between three of the finest riders of their generation: Anja Grossmann, Lise Revol, and Barbora Bukovská.
As expected, home favorite Grossmann made it clear right from the start who the rider to beat was. Taking the front and setting a ruthless pace, she went on to dominate, crossing the line with a crushing victory of over 3 minutes on the runner-up! Anja Grossmann delivers another title to the Swiss Confederation, following their XCC and XCR victories!
Second place was equally uncontested, with Lise Revol opening a gap within the first few minutes. That final podium spot saw a lively fight between Bukovská, Kiss, and Signorelli. Ultimately, Thursday's XCC winner, Barbora Bukovská, prevailed, followed less than 20 seconds later by Nikoletta Bettina Kiss in fourth, with Mariachiara Signorelli fifth!
