The U23 women were the first to inaugurate the final day of racing, with Valentina Corvi also on the start line. Having skipped the XCC event, she set her sights directly on the XCO title she held entering this season, facing a formidable "Swiss block".
Right from the gun, Corvi took control, building a lead of roughly half a minute over Anina Hutter. However, on the following lap, Hutter closed the gap, made her pass, and launched a commanding solo move. Corvi then suffered a puncture; by the time she changed her rear wheel, her chances for victory were gone.
As the battle for second saw Schibler gain ground, the fight for third turned into a duel between Halter and Benoit, with Corvi mounting a furious chase.
In the closing stages, Halter faded and was passed by Corvi, while Elina Benoit held on to the final podium step.
Switzerland claimed victory again, with Anina Hutter securing her first U23 European title, adding to the continental title she won in the U15 category in Pila! Fiona Schibler crossed the line second, and Elina Benoit completed an all-Swiss podium sweep for the U23 category!
