π¨ New Team on the Horizon
As anticipated back in April, a new squad is officially joining the women's peloton: Decathlon CMA CGM has confirmed the launch of its new women's team starting next season.
Already home to French talent Paul Seixas, the structure expands its program β which currently includes Continental and Junior setups β by adding a women's roster. The team will debut at ProTeam level with 12 riders, aiming for a progressive path toward the WorldTour.
"The goal is to bridge the growing gap between the Junior category and the WWT, building a project that develops steadily year after year," stated Guillaume Bonnafond, Head of NewGen.
The growth model references squad developments like FDJ United-SUEZ, which progressively built its way to becoming a benchmark force in the women's peloton. The new setup will leverage the long-standing experience and staff of the men's structure, reinforcing the long-term vision of management and sponsors.
