🇵🇱 Tour de Pologne Women (2.Pro)
Two years after returning to the UCI calendar, the Tour de Pologne Women took another step forward, promoted to the UCI ProSeries. The race featured three completely flat stages from Friday to Sunday, and the start list gathered many of the world's top sprinters — Lorena Wiebes, Elisa Balsamo, Lara Gillespie and Chiara Consonni.
💨 Stage 1 — Tomaszów Lubelski → Zamość (138 km)
After an early five-rider breakaway and a solo attack by Quinty Ton (caught with 14 km to go), the stage came down to a chaotic bunch sprint, marred by a crash on a roundabout 500 m from the line that involved Chiara Consonni. Avoiding it with brilliant bike handling, Lorena Wiebes powered to the win.
💨 Stage 2 — Włodawa → Lubartów (118 km)
Another bunch sprint after Katherine Sarkisov was caught with 9 km to go. Despite trouble for the SD Worx lead-out, Wiebes launched a long sprint to beat Lara Gillespie and Elisa Balsamo in Lubartów.
💨 Stage 3 — Janowiec → Lublin (101 km)
A two-rider break (Bodine Vollering, Marta Pavesi) was reeled in with 5 km left. SD Worx took control, Lotte Kopecky delivering a superb lead-out, and Wiebes completed the hat-trick, ahead of Balsamo and Gillespie.
🏆 Overall: Lorena Wiebes wins all three stages and the general classification, confirming her status as the fastest sprinter in the world.
