🔁 Transfer News: Kate Courtney to FDJ-SUEZ
In a surprise announcement, FDJ-SUEZ has confirmed the signing of 2018 Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Champion Kate Courtney, with immediate effect and a contract running through the end of 2028.
The 30-year-old Californian — a precocious off-road talent whose recent seasons were hampered by injuries — has moved toward endurance disciplines such as gravel and MTB marathon, winning the marathon world title last year in the Swiss Alps. That passion led her to the road: with no prior experience she made an immediate impact, winning a stage of the Tour de Feminin (2.2, Czech Republic) with a long-range attack in her very first road race. She now steps up to one of the Women's WorldTour's leading teams.
